Gerard Way To Direct His Own Movie?

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has exclusively revealed to Kerrang! that heâ�™s in talks with Universal about turning his graphic novel series The Umbrella Academy into a film.

â�œThereâ�™s been a lot of progress on it,â� Way tells K!. â�œThings in Hollywood move slow typically, but the comic was optioned as a film right before the San Diego Comic Convention last July. As soon as I got home from that I started meeting people at Universal and the film got fast-tracked and so recently Iâ�™ve been in talking to them about three times a week, first talking about the tone the film might have and then talking about screen writers who are going to work very closely with me when it comes time to do the film.â�

As creator of The Umbrella Academy, Way has also hinted that directing is something heâ�™d like to turn his hand to in the future.

â�œDirecting is something Iâ�™d be really interested in,â� he says. â�œPeople ask me if I would act, but acting to me is not nearly as exciting as directing would be. When I was talking to [video director] Mark Webb about the Ghost Of You video I was talking about the idea and I broke it down into shots and heâ�™d said â�˜You should really consider making your own videos eventuallyâ�™. And I think that making videos would be fun and easy, but Iâ�™d definitely be interested in directing features. After this record cycle Iâ�™d be really interested in trying something like that.â�

Gerard Talks About Fatherhood in K!

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has spoken for the first time about his wife Lindsey Ballato-Ways pregnancy and his impending fatherhood.

In a world exclusive interview which will be published in tomorrows Kerrang! magazine, Way revealed that he hasnt blogged or commented about it - other than an initial press release - not because he and his wife want to keep it private, but because he doesnt "know how to begin to even start talking about something like that!"

"Im very excited about it," Way told K! editor Paul Brannigan. "Its been interesting too because weve changed our website to this kind of blog and I havent commented on it yet - though obviously we released a press statement about it - not because its so personal that Im not gonna comment upon it, but just really that I dont know how to begin to even start talking about something like that.

"Theres still certain things we dont know, we dont know the sex for instance, but we know the baby is healthy and its growing great, and were really excited about that," he continued. "It was a surprise, and its really awesome.

"Its weird, it wasnt like it was as big a deal to people as I thought it might have been: like when I told Ray [Toro, My Chemical Romance guitarist] and told the guys everyone was really psyched but it wasnt like, Oh my God!. Everyone was just really genuinely excited for us. Its totally crazy to be the first one in the band [to become a father]...

"I dont know that I ever thought about having a kid," added Way. "But then I also didnt expect to meet Lindsey, and when I met her I knew shed be the one person I could have a kid with."

Relentless Tour Question

This is just a journal to ask anyone who is going to the k! Tour if you have got your tickets yet? I've heard from a few people i know that they have, but others say they haven't.

Im not sure if its to do with the xmas/new-years period when no-ones at work so they wont be sending out the tickets or they will be delayed but if someone could comment this and also say which ticketholder you got your tickets from cause that might put my mind at ease if you've got the same problem as me :3

My Chemical Romance release Bob Dylan cover next month

My Chemical Romance will release their cover of the Bob Dylan classic, Desolation Row' on February 9 through Warner Bros.

The song is taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming big screen adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' cult comic book series The Watchmen.

The track will be released as a digital download and as a limited edition 12" vinyl. The 12" will be limited to just 3,000 copies and will be backed with an extract from the film's score.

In related news, the full film soundtrack will be released in the UK on February 23 while the with the film itself will follow on March 6.

Why I Hate My Chemical Romance Fans

The reasons why I hate you:

1. You think you have a say in what goes on in the guys lives. For example, who they can date/marry/shag or have children with. Believe it or not but its called a private life for a reason.
2. You scream/cry uncontrollably at a MCR concert when one of the guys say ONE little word.
3. You think that Gerard, Frank, Bob, Mikey & Ray can do no wrong. They are in every way prefect to you.
4. You cry continuoulsy when you hear that one of them had gotten married or is having a kid. Is it so hard for you to except that they might be happy? Deal with it.
5. You attack their ex-girlfriends at any cost just to make yourself feel better. Deal with it they're in the past, just because they aren't together anymore doesnt mean that the girl cheated or hurt them in any way.
You even attack their current girlfriends/wives cause you believe they're not good enough for them or are ugly or are just using them. Who the fuck are you to even decide that? The guys are GROWN UP'S!! They dont need teenagers like you to decide their future's for them. They most probably dont even know you exist, so stop making a big deal out of it.
6. You cant accept the fact that others might not like MCR and when they say they dont like them (in a mature and nice way) you're pathetic enough to attack them about it. Believe it or not there are people in the world who dont share the same musical interests as you. Cunts.

My little message to all of you who fall into this catergory..FUCK YOU! STOP SPENDING YOU ENTIRE LIVES SITTING BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN, ASSLICKING THE GUYS IN THE BAND AND GET A LIFE.

This is all i can think of right now, i might update it later depending on whether you continue to send me hate mail.

Steve Righ? To Be A Dad

I am happy to anounce that Steve Righ? of Mindless Self Indulgence and his partner Lucinda are expecting their first child. Lucinda who is orignally from Wolverhampton but resides in New York with her husband confirmed the news on her facebook.

Here is a picture Lucinda posted of the baby righ? to confirm and celebrate the news with us

Message From Bob Bryar & Gerard Way's Address??

MESSAGE FROM BOB

hi! its bob

it's been a long time since since we have talked. i just wanted to say hi and fill people in on what has been happening with us. as a whole we are all getting ready to get rolling again. we really needed this break but enough is enough already. i cant wait to see the refreshed and excited MCR again. no more falling asleep at 5pm, no more drinking 20 red bulls, just good times coming up.

i will start with myself. my weird zoro scar on my wrist is going down finally. i have been doing physical therapy every few days now which is helping out a ton. i have to sit and lift tiny weights over and over again until i cant anymore, then i play with putty, then i stack cups, sometimes i squeeze plastic, play with rice, etc. It kinda feels like when i was in kindergarten day care except it hurts. my favorite part is hearing the stories of the other patients. one lady fell down her stairs because she tripped on her cat and broke her shoulder. i try not to laugh but i cant help it. i was actually sitting with a player from the bears last week too. that guy was about 20 feet tall and as big as a house. i didn't look him in the eye. i think i have a couple months before i am back to playing again. i am always going to have pain in my hand so i will be changing my playing a bit. i have to rearrange my drums and i will need to play waaay lighter. dont call me a p@$^y when you see me.

Other then that i am just hanging out. i got another dog! i now have two black german shepherds. they rule. they are my buddies. i am going to bring them everywhere with me. toro got a new puppy too. frank has 19 dogs now. i shot up up my garage with a pistol and the cops came. that was fun..... i also have been playing halo again. halo and legos is actually part of therapy for me. i just hit level 35 which is awesome for me. i would love to challenge anybody to a duel. my xbox name is dixiediarrhea (long story, my dogs name is dixie, she had diarrhea). if anyone knows souljaboy personally please let him know i challenge him. that guy seems like an awesome dude and i want to play against him. he says he can beat anyone. dixiediarrhea says differently. i will bet 2 dollars that i whoop him.

anyway, i see that im rambling. im tired. i was going to fill you in on everyone else but i dont want to anymore. hahaha. which actually brings me to a point. we are soon going to launch a new website. its going to be very simple and to the point. one of the new features will be us typing in on our phones straight to the site so everyone can tell you themselves what they are up to. now that we are coming out of MCR hibernation we want to keep everyone informed and to maybe have some fun. blogathon 5000. i will type in all the juicy details like perez hilton.

ok. im going to bed. me and my friend, the sanch, and dixie are about to drive from chicago to los angeles to hang with gerard and friends. come hang out.

Can Someone Please Tell Me...

how you can look at this dog and find it amusing it beat it??

can you tell me why this dog was burnt alive but yet the 'people' responsible got away with it?

It sickens my to death, having pets of my own, to see other animals being abused/beaten/tortured all for someone else's gain, so my question is when you look at all this pictures, please tell me how people get a kick out of this?

im sorry, but the sick bastards who do this to animals should get more then a criminal record, they should get beaten just like how they abused these animals
